Community service is at the core of Troop 418’s mission. Through various service projects, our scouts learn the value of helping others, taking responsibility, and making a positive impact. Whether it’s organizing food drives, cleaning up local parks, or assisting with community events, our scouts are dedicated to making a difference. By participating in these projects, scouts not only earn service hours but also develop empathy, leadership, and a strong sense of civic duty. Join Troop 418 and be a part of our commitment to serving the community!
September 2025 Wave of Thanks Beach Cleanup
On September 20, 2025, Troop 418 participated in the Wave of Thanks Beach Cleanup at Seaplane Lagoon in Alameda, celebrating three years of student-led environmental action. Scouts volunteered alongside other youth groups to help clean the shoreline, demonstrating their commitment to community service and environmental stewardship. The event began with a morning check-in and light breakfast, followed by a hands-on shoreline cleanup where Scouts worked together to remove trash and protect the local ecosystem. After the cleanup, participants gathered at Almanac Taproom for a celebratory lunch and presentations highlighting the impact of youth leadership and community involvement. This meaningful service project allowed Scouts to give back to the community while reinforcing the values of responsibility, teamwork, and environmental awareness.

May 2025 Scout O Rama
Troop 418 proudly participated in Scout-O-Rama 2025 by organizing an interactive Robotics Booth, bringing STEM excitement to Scouts and families from across the council. This year also marked a special milestone — our first time marching in the flag parade, showing our growing presence and commitment to the Scouting community.
We collaborated with fellow troops from SVMBC, rallying Scouts involved in robotics to represent their teams and showcase their work. Our booth was part of the vibrant Robotics Library, featuring 5 FTC teams and 2 FLL teams from Troops 418, 468, 373, and 2219. Together, we set up hands-on activities and engaging displays that sparked curiosity and inspired young minds to explore the world of robotics.
A big thank-you to everyone who helped make this STEM outreach a success — from booth setup to team coordination, your effort made a lasting impact!
